Golf & Other Activities
Ireland
is marvellous natural golfing country. Courses in meadowland, parkland
and superb, coastal settings await the visitor. We have nine golf
courses in our vicinity, most of them within thirty-five minutes
drive from Aghnacarra Guest House. All courses have club facilities.
Castle Coole - 18 hole, Parkland Course
Castle Coole is an old course set in the grounds of Castle Coole,
(the National Trust's most important property), set amongst mature
trees, many of which are over100 years old. Clubs & carts can

The course has been built only recently. It is well laid out, but

Lessons

Murvagh is a very beautiful course on the edge of Donegal Bay. 00

This is one of Ireland's great championship links. It was founded
in 1894 and plays host to the West of Ireland Championship each

Other Activities to Enjoy
Canoeing - A canoe centre at Castle Island caters of the
serious leisurely canoeist. Expeditions can be arranged.
Cruising - Cruising is of course one of the County's most
celebrated activities. The Erne system linked to the Shannon Waterways
by a series of canals is regarded as being amongst the greatest
pleasure boating grounds in the world.
Caving & Potholing - Explore Fermanagh caves with qualified
cave leader instructors. Venture into remote places where few have
gone. All levels catered for.
Cycling - Fermanagh's quiet country lanes and spectacular
scenery is a cyclist's dream. The Kingfisher Trail has over 200
miles of mapped and non-posted cycle trails.
Hillwalking - There are 25 listed walks on a variety of
surfaces, including areas of geological interest and striking scenery.
Horse Riding & Treking - Ulster's Lakeland Equestrian
Park at Necarn Castle offers top class tuition and mounts on its
200-acre site for holidaymakers.
Ornothology - Castlecaldwell, Crom Castle and many offshore
islands are designated bird sanctuaries, monitored by the R.S.P.B.
Watersports - Fermanagh has a number of watersport centres
offering jet skiing, canoeing, banana boat rides etc.,

Restaurants - Relax in our welcoming Restaurant or enjoy
the culinary delights on offer in Enniskillen. Whether it's a gourmet
meal or soup and sandwiches after a bracing walk, there is ample
choice.
Theatre - 'The theatre by the lakes', the Ardowen is located
in Enniskillen and boasts a varied program throughout the year with
something to interest all ages.
